1. Agreement
These Terms govern use of the Southampton Port Taxi website (www.southamptonporttaxi.co.uk) and travel bookings made through it. By booking you agree to these terms.
AIRPORTS EXPRESS TAXIS LIMITED (company registration number 16989024) provides online travel arrangement and tourism transport booking services. We are a travel company and booking intermediary — not a taxi operator, private hire business, or transport licensee. We connect you with independent suppliers who provide the ground transport element of your trip.
The contract for the physical journey is between you and the supplier fulfilling that service. We are responsible for the booking platform, customer communications, and payment collection as described below.
2. Bookings and confirmation
Booking is confirmed only after email confirmation following successful payment. We may decline bookings for unavailable routes, incomplete information, or suspected fraud.
You must provide accurate addresses, terminal or flight details, and contact information. Incorrect cruise terminal or airport information may cause failed pickups or extra charges.
3. Pricing and payment
Checkout price applies to the travel arrangement and journey entered. Extra charges may apply for additional stops, waiting beyond grace, route changes, or vehicle cleaning due to passenger damage.
Payment is in advance unless you hold an approved corporate account.
4. Cancellations and amendments
Cancel or amend by contacting us. More than 24 hours notice may receive a full refund minus any stated processing fee. Less notice may forfeit part or all of the fare if a driver was dispatched.
No-shows at the agreed pickup may be charged in full.
5. Passenger responsibilities
Wear seat belts and follow UK law. Smoking and illegal substances are prohibited. You are liable for damage you cause, including vehicle cleaning or soilage fees where applicable.
Children need appropriate restraints. Request child seats in advance.
Guide dogs and other assistance dogs must be accepted free of charge under the Equality Act 2010. Declare an assistance dog when booking.
Airport waiting: included waiting time applies after landing; additional waiting beyond the agreed grace period (typically 15 minutes at airports unless stated otherwise) may be charged at the operator's published rate.
6. Liability
We are not liable for delays from traffic, weather, port security, tides, or events beyond reasonable control. Liability per booking is limited to the fare paid except where law prevents limitation.
Belongings left in vehicles are your responsibility — contact us immediately if something is lost.
7. Complaints
Submit complaints within 14 days to info@southamptonporttaxi.co.uk or +44 20 8432 0829 with your booking reference. We aim to respond within 10 working days.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction unless mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.
